They Didnt KnowShe came into the class the first day of school in old clothes, no makeup, and messy hair. Her eyes were dark, and her hair just the same to resemble the pain in them. The kids laughed at her, they laughed at how bad she looked.

They didnt know she had been poor because her dad left her.

She came into the class her teddy bear in her hand, hugging it close to her. She didnt leave her bear anywhere, she held it the whole day. The kids laughed and teased.

I know it doesn't, but it doesn't help.

Parents need to remember that life isn't easy, especially during those difficult years. Its easy for mom and dad to pass it off as a phase, but the reality is, to their children, they got the world on their shoulders.

Parents tend to think that 'because kids are young, they got nothing to be sad about', was the point I was gravitating too.

I know. Parents dont understand the kids really do feel the pain. Usually some dont even have a reason to be sad, but thats what depression is. When just a small bit of pain, can become the tears they cry every night.
