Unknown Chapter Four

Night was coming over the Town With No Name quickly, stars were coming out, and the moon was hanging by a thread. Whispers came from the wind, and rumors were spread by the fireflies. No one was awake, and it was all pitch black.
Though not everyone could fall asleep. Elijah tossed and turned for hours. Usually people just popped a Zanex, but they banned it here since Kimmy Ratter killed herself with an overdose. Now Elijah was getting worried, he needed to sleep.
He tried to tell himself monsters didnt exist, he tried to believe it. Though his thoughts would wander against his will, and he would end up choking on his own words. After about two hours he sat up and leaned against the stone wall.
He sighed an hung his head, trying his best to pretend he wasnt scared as hell. Though he was never good at hiding the truth. He found that out when someone asked how far he would go for a klondike bar. He shivered at the memory.
Gripping his pillow in his hand, he was getting to curious for his own good. All he could hear were his own breathing, all he could feel was the cool sweat forming over his body. He eyed the barred window above his window, even though he knew he shouldnt have even thought about it.
All he could see from the distance he was at, was that it was pitch black outside. Of course the nurses opened the windows at night, children were to terrified to try to leave, and they needed to cool down. Elijahs breathing hitched as he thought. What was out there?
